Big Icebreaker girls' hockey tournament wraps up

Superior beat Armstrong-Cooper, Minn., 2-1 in overtime Sunday at Duluth's Heritage Pavilion to win the Under 10-B Division of the Icebreaker Invitational girls hockey tournament.

Superior beat Armstrong-Cooper, Minn., 2-1 in overtime Sunday at Duluth's Heritage Pavilion to win the Under 10-B Division of the Icebreaker Invitational girls hockey tournament.

That was the top finish by a Northland team in the weekend tournament, which included 71 teams.

Other champions included:

* U-14A overall championship: Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada, No. 2

* U-14B: Wayzata, Minn.

* U-12B overall championship: Tartan, Minn.

* U-10A: Edina, Minn.
