Gianna Kneepkens scored 34 points Thursday night to become the Northland’s all-time leading girls basketball scorer, leading Duluth Marshall to a 101-68 victory over Duluth East in nonconference action at Marshall.
Kneepkens surpassed South Shore graduate Megan Gustafson’s total of 3,229 points with a free throw early in the game.
The senior guard now has 3,262 career points to move into 13th in state history.
Ava Meierotto scored a career-high 27 points for the Hilltoppers (10-1), hitting nine of the team’s 15 successful 3-pointers.
