The Minnesota Duluth women's basketball team learned Thursday its games Friday and Saturday at Minnesota State-Moorhead have been canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test within the Dragons women's basketball program.

It's the second consecutive weekend series that has been canceled because of the NSIC's COVID-19 protocols. The Bulldogs (3-0) have had five of their eight games this season canceled, having last played Jan. 8-9 against Minot State in Duluth.

UMD has eight games remaining on its schedule, with Northern State visiting Romano Gymnasium in Duluth on Jan. 29-30.

The Bulldogs men's basketball games scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday and 4 p.m. Saturday at Romano are still on as of Thursday evening.
