A poor shooting night sent Minnesota Duluth to an 85-73 loss to Northern State on Friday at Romano Gym in Duluth.

The Bulldogs shot just 37 percent from the field overall and 28 percent from 3-point range.

UMD's Brandon Myer scored 31 points and grabbed eight rebounds. Alex Illikainen had 13 points and 11 rebounds and Drew Blair had 10 points and six rebounds.

The Bulldogs (13-6, 18-7) will play to remain in second place in the NSIC North Division when they play Minnesota State-Moorhead (12-7, 16-9) at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Romano.
