Poor weather delayed the Minnesota Duluth women's basketball team's NSIC opener but the Bulldogs showed no rust, downing St. Cloud State 71-59 on Monday at Romano Gym.

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday but was postponed by heavy snow and blizzard conditions in the Duluth area.

UMD 's Brooke Olson had 20 points and eight rebounds as the Bulldogs (4-3) extended their winning streak to four games. Katie Stark had 15 points and Ann Simonet had 11 points. Maesyn Thiesen had seven assists.

UMD plays host to Minot State on Friday and Mary on Saturday.
