Minnesota Duluth has added Carson Shanks as an assistant to its coaching staff under second-year head coach Justin Wieck, announced Tuesday.

Shanks, a native of Apple Valley, Minn., played three seasons at North Dakota (2014-17) and one season at Loyola-Chicago, where he was part of Loyola's first Final Four run since 1963. He played professionally overseas for a stint in Malta before returning to North Dakota as video coordinator. He will oversee UMD's post players.
