Eva Reinertsen led a balanced Wisconsin-Superior attack with 15 points as the Yellowjackets eased past Northland College 88-62 in a UMAC women's basketball game Wednesday night in Ashland.

Nine players had at least six points for UWS (17-2 overall, 9-1 UMAC), including Hannah Norlin with 13 and Emily Carpenter with 10. The Yellowjackets raced to a 53-26 halftime lead in winning their fifth straight to keep pace with Bethany Lutheran atop the conference standings.

UWS forced the Lumberjills (5-11, 2-8) into 20 turnovers and a 2-for-16 shooting effort from 3-point range.

• North Central used 22 points from Allison Bulthuis and steady shooting to down St. Scholastica 76-59 in a UMAC contest at Reif Gym.

North Central (11-7, 5-5), which moved past the Saints (4-13, 4-6) into fifth place in the conference standings, was 26 of 48 from the field, including 10 of 18 from beyond the arc.

Michala Walther recorded 17 points and eight rebounds to pace the Saints, who trailed just 54-49 entering the fourth quarter before being outscored 22-10 the rest of the way.
