College women's basketball: Win over Bemidji State vaults UMD up NSIC ladder
Sammy Kozlowski scored 26 points and made eight steals as Minnesota Duluth downed the University of Mary 78-71 in an NSIC game Friday night before 343 fans at Romano Gym.
Kozlowski made 10 of 15 field goals and scored 17 of her points in the second half.
Ann Simonet added 18 points and made 7 of 8 free throws, helping the Bulldogs (8-4 overall, 7-2 NSIC) to a 22-for-31 performance from the line.
Gabbie Bohl's 26 points led Mary (9-3, 7-2), which dropped into a second-place tie with UMD in the North Division. Macy Williams contributed 22 points on 8-for-11 shooting. The Marauders made 26 of 49 shots (53.1 percent), including 7-for-19 from 3-point range.
