College men's basketball: Bethany Lutheran downs Saints
Austin Bauer scored 22 points, connecting on 7 of 9 3-pointers, as hot-shooting Bethany Lutheran downed St. Scholastica 90-74 in the UMAC Game of the Week on Saturday in Mankato, Minn.
Cire Mayfield (18 points) and Jarred Merchant (16) were also in double figures for the Vikings (4-5 overall, 1-1 UMAC), who shot 52.5 percent for the game, including 9 of 18 from 3-point range.
Brandon Newman (22 points), Quinn Fischer (18), Connor Gray (12) and Collin Anderson (12) were all in double figures for the Saints (3-4, 1-1), but it wasn't enough as they got outrebounded 39-30, turned the ball over 15 times and shot just 41.7 percent.
• James Pendleton scored 23 points as Minnesota-Morris held off visiting Wisconsin-Superior 84-77.
Noah Grove added 13 points and Jeremy Halverson chipped in 12 for the Cougars (3-5, 1-1).
Mac Reykdal had a career-high 27 points to lead the Yellowjackets (1-8, 0-2), while Montroy Scott (20) and Adam Arroyo (11) also were in double figures.
