Senior forward Hannah Norlin scored 22 points and junior guard Emily Carpenter added 21 as Wisconsin-Superior gradually pulled away for a 75-64 nonconference victory over Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Saturday at Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium.
Norlin, who scored her 1,000th career point last week, finished with six rebounds, four blocks, three assists and two steals, while the 5-foot-2 Carpenter added five rebounds and five assists. Eva Reinertsen of Duluth was also in double figures for the Yellowjackets with 11 points and seven rebounds. UWS (5-1), shot 47.2 percent from the floor and a blistering 61.9 percent (13-for-21) from 3-point range.
Hallee Hoeppner had 20 points and eight rebounds to lead the Blugolds (4-2).
