Held to only five hits, the Duluth Huskies were stymied in an 8-0 loss to the Minnesota Mud Puppies on Tuesday at Wade Stadium in Duluth.

The Huskies trailed 4-0 until the top of the eighth inning, when Minnesota put the game away, doubling its lead with four more runs.

Kyle Westfall led the Huskies' bats, going 2-for-2. Jonny Guzman took the loss on the mound, giving up three runs on four hits over four innings with five walks and five strikeouts.

William Sturek led the Mud Puppies going 2-for-4 with a double, three RBIs and two runs scored.

The Huskies are off Wednesday before traveling to play at Waterloo at 12:05 p.m. Thursday.
