Minnesota Duluth rolled to a 10-3 victory over Upper Iowa Saturday before the Peacocks returned the favor, blasting the Bulldogs 14-3 in the rematch as the squads split the NSIC doubleheader at Wade Stadium.

Russ Tanner went seven strong innings in the opener, allowing only one earned run and striking out six while Anders Brown paced the offense with two hits, two runs and two RBIs.

Five pitchers combined to shut down the Bulldogs in the second game and Hogan Penny had two hits, two runs and five RBIs offensively for the Peacocks (8-9, 6-6 NSIC). Dayo Lawal had two hits and two RBIs for UMD (5-12, 3-10).
