St. Scholastica built a sizable lead but had to hold on to defeat Husson 11-9 on Tuesday in Auburndale, Florida.

The Saints led 6-1 after two innings and held a 11-5 lead through seven before Husson scored four in the top of the eighth to close the gap. Husson put two runners on with two outs in the ninth but CSS's survived the rally.

Saints designated hitter Mitchell Olson had a home run and a triple among his three hits, he drove in four runs and scored three runs. Aaron Weber had two RBI and Eric Pearson, Reed Larson and Mitchell Novak all had two hits.

The Saints (4-3-1) are off until playing Benedictine (Ill.) at 3 p.m. Friday in Winter Haven, Florida.
