Northwoods League: McCann, Hanson lead Huskies over Rox
Michael McCann had three hits and Parker Hanson got the pitching win as the Duluth Huskies downed the St. Cloud Rox 6-2 in Northwoods League baseball before 1,135 tonight at Wade Stadium.
McCann, whose three-run home run in the 10th inning lifted Duluth to a 10-7 victory over the Rox on Sunday, added an RBI.
Hanson, a 6-foot-1 right-hander from Minnesota-Crookston, scattered 10 hits over 6 2/3 innings, allowing two earned runs while striking out four and issuing no walks. Kieran Shaw closed it out for his second save of the season.
Augie Isaacson, Chris Gilbody, John Lagattuta and Julian Escobedo added two hits apiece as the Huskies (5-1) pounded out 13 hits.
Jack Barrie had three hits to lead the Rox (2-4).
Duluth plays the first of two home games with La Crosse beginning at 6:35 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Stadium.
