Pitching has been a season-long ailment for the Duluth Huskies, but Ricky Reynoso and Dennis Boatman provided the antidote Thursday night in the Huskies' 10-1 Northwoods League victory over the Thunder Bay Border Cats before 1,086 at Port Arthur Stadium.

Reynoso struck out nine and walked none in six innings to improve to 3-1 on the season, while Boatman lowered his season ERA to 14.54 by tossing three scoreless innings against the last-place Thunder Cats (1-8 second half).

The Huskies (5-4) pounded out 17 hits, led by Max Guzman's 4-for-5, two-RBI performance. Lance Ford also had four hits, including one of Duluth's five doubles.

The Huskies scored four runs in the second inning and led 8-0 before Thunder Bay notched its lone run.

The teams meet again at 6:35 p.m. today.
