Aaron Greenfield’s single scored Tyler Lozano with the winning run in the top of the eighth inning as the Duluth Huskies snapped their six-game losing streak with a 5-4 victory over Eau Claire on Saturday night in Northwoods League baseball at Carson Park in Eau Claire, Wis.

The second game of the scheduled seven-inning doubleheader wasn't completed until late Saturday.

After the teams were tied through seven innings, international tiebreaker rules were implemented, with each team getting to place a runner on second to start the eighth inning. However, Huskies reliever Jonathan Pierce, who entered in the eighth, was able to get out of the jam and secure the win.

University of Virginia product Nic Kent had two hits, a run and RBI to lead the Huskies (8-11), while Phillip Sikes had a hit and two RBIs to lead the Express (8-11).

Duluth plays at St. Cloud at 4:05 p.m. today before returning to Wade Stadium on Monday for a three-game homestand.
