Padres seeded fourth in Wisconsin playoffs
The Duluth Padres, finishing 8-6 in the Upper 13 League, have been seeded No. 4 in the 64th Wisconsin Baseball Association Playoffs. They face the top-seeded Whittlesey Reds, 10-1 in the Dairyland League, at 3 p.m. Aug. 11 in Rib Lake, Wis.
The first-round winner plays either Sparta Miller or Chippewa Falls at 3 p.m. on Aug. 12.
Other Upper 13 League teams in the playoffs are the Superior Lakers, Twin Ports North Stars, and Ashland C&S Design Protractors.
The Wisconsin Baseball Association has 62 teams in six leagues with the top 32 teams qualifying for the playoffs. The semifinals are Aug. 10-12 at four sites, including Hayward, Haugen and Osceola). The finals are Aug. 17-19 at Osseo.
