Auto racing: Racing begins in Superior

The newly named Gondik Law Speedway -- formerly known as Amsoil Speedway -- in Superior finally found some favorable weather Friday for its opening night of racing.

The newly named Gondik Law Speedway - formerly known as Amsoil Speedway - in Superior finally found some favorable weather Friday for its opening night of racing.

Travis Budisalovich of Minneapolis won in Late Models; Grand Rapids' Johnny Broking was victorious in Modifieds; the Super Stock feature went to Nick Oreskovich of Mason; Midwest Modifieds were won by defending WISSOTA champion Skeeter Estey of Kelly Lake; and Ladysmith's Tucker Quinn took the checkered flag in Pure Stocks.

For Quinn and Broking, Friday was their first feature wins in Superior.
