Duluth Running Co. is launching a new race series beginning in July off the Park Point beach.

The Duluth Running Co. Aquathon Series consists of a 1-kilometer swim followed by a 5-kilometer run at Park Point. The event will be held on consecutive Thursdays starting at 6 p.m. July 11.

The race will begin with a swim in Lake Superior off Park Point Beach near Sky Harbor Airport and continue on the Park Point trail for 3.1 miles.

To register, visit: aquathon.duluthrunning.com. Online registration is $15 per race or $55 for the entire series. Race-day registration is $20.
