DULUTH — Grand Rapids bounced back from a loss on Friday in the Sub-State 10 American Legion baseball tournament to rout Duluth Lakeview 11-1 in the five-inning tournament championship game on Saturday afternoon at Ordean Field.
The Post 60 Wolfpack banged out 10 hits in five innings to earn their second victory over the hosts in a three-day span and win the eight-team tournament.
Grand Rapids put its offense in gear in the second inning, scoring its first two runs on a single, double and consecutive RBI fielder's choices from Caleb Gunderson and Klous Jones.

Rapids increased the distance in the third inning, scoring four times after seven consecutive batters reached. The Wolfpack tacked on a single run in the fourth inning and triggered the 10-run rule in the fifth inning with four more. A single from Kyler Miller scored Nolan Svatos with the winning run.
For the Wolfpack, Dominic Broberg had a 3-for-4 game, drove in three runs and scored twice. Miller added two hits.

Easton Sjostrand pitched, allowing one earned run on three hits in five innings. He walked three and struck out one.
For the Lakeview Tropics, Dylan Manchester, Isaac Lisi and Lukas Niska had one single apiece. Manchester took the loss, allowing six runs on six hits in 2 2/3 innings.
Grand Rapids advances to the state tournament, beginning on Thursday at the Ali-Magnet Fields in Burnsville.
