Wisconsin-Superior guard Ben Aalfs was named to the All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference men's basketball team, announced Tuesday.
Aalfs, a senior from Hutchinson, Minn., averaged 15.4 points in leading the Yellowjackets to a 14-12 record and spot in the conference tournament. Aalfs was also among the team leaders in rebounds (136), assists (57), blocks (11) and steals (20).
UWS senior guard Dustin Ritchie of Superior, junior guard-forward Brendan Bauer of Eleva, Wis., and sophomore center Bronson Byrne of Chanhassen, Minn., were named WIAC honorable mention, with Ritchie being named to the WIAC all-sportsmanship team.
Senior forward Chris Davis of Wisconsin-Whitewater was named WIAC player of the year while the Warhawks' Pat Miller was named coach of the year.
