Superior won all three of its games at the Chippewa Falls softball tournament Saturday, including two by one run, to remain undefeated.

The Spartans (8-0) beat host Chippewa Falls and Stevens Point by identical 4-3 scores. Against SPASH, Chesie McLaughlin and Haley Zembo combined on a seven-hitter while Emma Raye was 4-for-4 with two RBIs.

Raye again excelled in a 13-5 win over Onalaska, hitting a home run and double and driving in four runs.

The Wildcats scored the winning run in the ninth inning on a wild pitch after two errors. Hard-luck losing pitcher Owen Hindermann allowed no hits in 4 1/3 innings of relief.

Superior’s Kell Piggott backed his pitching win with two RBIs in a 10-4 win over Holmen at Schofield, Wisconsin.

The Spartans lost 3-0 to host D.C. Everest despite a solid outing by starting pitcher Mason Stenberg.
