Four players scored goals for Hermantown and goalkeeper Zach Carson stopped all seven shots he faced in a 4-0 Lake Superior Conference victory over Duluth Marshall on Monday at Hermantown.

Seth Johnson, Evan Bjorlin and Sam Mesedahl scored in the second half after Kaden Kucza staked the Hawks (7-1-1 overall, 4-1 LSC) to a 1-0 lead in the first half.

The Hilltoppers fell to 5-6 and 2-3.


CEC 6, Duluth Denfeld 0

Katie Turner scored three of her four goals in the first half and Gracie Meagher posted her seventh shutout of the season in the host Lumberjacks’ LSC win.

Duluth Marshall 5, Hermantown 0

Maren Friday scored two second-half goals and the visiting Hilltoppers put 14 shots on net in the LSC victory.

Proctor 2, Grand Rapids 1

Emma Terhaar netted the game-winning goal in the first overtime as the visiting Rails won the nonconference game.


Proctor 3, Duluth Denfeld 1

Sam Pogatchnik recorded 12 kills in the host Rails’ LSC sweep.

Proctor improved to 9-1 on the season and 2-0 in the conference.
