Pat Doar of New Richmond, Wis., won the 47th annual Silver 1000 Late Model feature on Thursday night at Proctor Speedway.

Twenty-five cars competed in the 40-lap finale. Doar passed pole sitter Kevin Eder with seven laps remaining and then held off a charge from Jake Redetzke to win his fourth Silver 1000 title, two in Late Models and two in Modifieds.

Ashley Anderson of Elk Mound, Wis., passed Jody Bellefeuille with three laps remaining to win Thursday’s 30-lap Modified feature. It was Anderson’s second Silver 1000 title, with the first happening in Late Models in 2007.

The Silver 1000 is the annual kickoff to the season-ending specials, with the Wissota Classic tonight in Grand Rapids, the Labor Day Shootout this weekend in Hibbing, the Northern Nationals next weekend in Superior and Red Clay Classic Sept. 27-28 in Ashland.
