St. Scholastica bowed out of the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship at Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston on Wednesday after finishing 24th of 25 teams.
The Saints improved by 25 strokes on the second day, finishing with an 805 total but missing the cut.
Kristen Lilya finished with a two-day 40-over-par 184 to finish 112th while teammate Hannah Johnson shot a 41-over 185 to finish 113th in the 131-golfer field.
Nina Kouchi of Grinnell College, Ziyi Wang of Carleton College and Emily Salamy of Rhodes College were tied for first at 5-over.
• Wisconsin-Superior's time at the NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Ky., came to a close Wednesday as the Yellowjackets failed to make the cut, finishing 38th of 42 schools with a combined score of 661. Ryan Peterson led UWS with a 15-over 159 total over two rounds, good for a tie for 121st of 216 golfers. Illinois Wesleyan leads all schools at 578 after two days while Cameron Willis of Wittenberg University and Zane Brownrigg of Methodist University are tied atop the leaderboard at 2-under.
