Madison Bear's rink, which features two Duluth curlers, won its playoff match Friday night at the USA Junior Women's National Championship at the Fargo-Moorhead Curling Club in Fargo, N.D., to earn a berth into today's finals.

Bear of Blaine, Minn., defeated Melissa Runing 7-4 in a semifinal to earn a spot opposite Annmarie Dubberstein in the final. Lexi Lanigan is the Bear team's lead while fellow Duluthian Rebecca Miles is an alternate.

If Bear wins today's 9 a.m. match vs. Dubberstein, a second match would follow to determine the champion and U.S. representative for the world juniors.
