PROCTOR — A lead-off triple from Tanner Olson set up Nolan McLeod's RBI groundout to give Proctor a 5-4 lead that held up in the fifth inning of a prep baseball victory over Rock Ridge on Friday.
Blake Imhoff and Tanner Olson pitched scoreless innings of relief to preserve a victory for Grant Walker, who allowed three earned runs on five hits in five innings.
Imhoff and Olson had two hits apiece for the Rails (2-0).
John Kendall went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles to lead the Wolverines' offense. Dylan Hedley added two hits.
Cherry 6, Hinckley-Finlayson 1
Beau Barry held the Jaguars to one unearned run on two hits in five innings for a Tigers victory on Friday. Noah Asuma had a pair of hits and scored twice to lead the Cherry offense.

Abe Ahlberg went 5-for-6 with three RBIs and combined with Dylan Taggart for a no-hitter for Northwood/Solon Springs (6-0). Seven other players had at least two hits.
The N/SS softball team also defeated Shell Lake in a much closer contest, 2-0.
