The man drowned in Detroit Lake on June 8 after jumping into the water from a pontoon, according to the Becker County Sheriff's Office.

According to a statement from the Mahnomen County Sheriff's Office, the incident began with a deputy pulling over the SUV about 1:30 a.m. A pursuit involving a deputy and the SUV followed, with the latter ending up in a ditch in the village of Naytahwaush, about 50 miles northeast of Detroit Lakes.
A Frazee, Minnesota, woman was charged with kidnapping, terrorizing and assault. Her boyfriend and another woman also face terrorizing charges in connection to the incident.
Two trains were involved in a derailment west of Frazee on Feb. 17; blocking rail traffic in both directions between Frazee and Detroit Lakes. No injuries were reported at the scene and nearby residents were evacuated by law enforcement as a precaution while investigators assess the content of the derailed cars.
