Duluth and Superior firework shows were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Duluth Fire Department encouraged community members to create firework displays using chalk in their driveways and on sidewalks to keep people safe and to keep noise levels down. People also made time for other outdoor activities as temperatures began to rise in the morning.
