Samantha Peterson and Tom Kalkbrenner, both of Duluth, plan to be married Aug. 22 in United Protestant Church in Duluth.
Her parents are Tim and Tricia Peterson of Duluth. His parents are Mike and Cami Kalkbrenner of Duluth.
The future bride, a 2005 graduate of Denfeld High School in Duluth, graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Superior in 2008 with a bachelor's degree in molecular biology.
The future groom, a 2003 graduate of Denfeld High School, is pursuing his bachelor's degree in criminal justice at the University of Wisconsin- Superior. He is a plumber for Benjamin Franklin Plumbing in Duluth.
