Ryan Stauber, Doug Frisk and retired educator Michael Miernicki are vying for an At Large seat on the Duluth School Board. One of them will be eliminated in Tuesday's primary election, leaving the other two on the Nov. 8 general election ballot.

Other primary races Tuesday in Duluth include:

--4th District City Council: The incumbent, Jackie Halberg, was appointed last year by the council. Former 4th District Councilor Garry Krause also is running, as are retired city worker Wallace Newquist, financial counselor Ryan Miles and landscaper Travis Silvers. Tuesday's top two vote-getters will move on to the Nov. 8 general election.

--And At Large Duluth City Council, with two seats available. Four of six candidates will move on from Tuesday. The hopefuls are former university dean Linda Krug, workforce development and economic development consultant Emily Larson, entertainment promoter Eric Edwardson, Spirit Mountain chef Gareth Bates, Chad Smith, and Tim Riley, who has worked as a database coordinator and one-on-one job coach.
