The News Tribune is hosting or co-hosting three more public candidate forums in advance of the Nov. 6 Election, including on Monday and Tuesday of this week. The forums are a great opportunity for voters to hear directly from the candidates, and they are an important part of the News Tribune editorial board's endorsement process.
Monday: St. Louis County Board
When: 1-3 p.m. Monday
Where: The County Board room on the second floor of the St. Louis County Courthouse, Duluth
Format: Candidates will be asked questions by the News Tribune editorial board

1 p.m. -- District 2: Incumbent Steve O'Neil and challenger Becky Hall
1:45 p.m. -- District 3: Incumbent Chris Dahlberg and challenger Debbie Isabell-Nelson
2:30 p.m. -- District 5: Incumbent Peg Sweeney and challenger Pete Stauber
Coverage: The forums will be recorded and broadcast on a time and day to be determined by PACT-TV; the News Tribune also will record the forums and post them at duluthnewstribune.com.
Tuesday: U.S. Senate
When: 8 a.m. Tuesday
Where: The Duluth Playhouse Theater, 506 W. Michigan St.
Format: U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar and Republican challenger Rep. Kurt Bills will be asked questions by the News Tribune's Chuck Frederick and the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce's Roger Wedin before a live audience; no signs will be allowed in the theater and no disruptive behavior will be tolerated

Tickets: Each campaign will distribute an equal number of tickets with the balance distributed by the Chamber, which will give priority to its members; anyone arriving without a ticket will be asked to wait and will be seated as space allows on a first-come, first-in basis
Watch online: The forum will be broadcast live by the UpTake and the News Tribune at duluthnewstribune.com and at theuptake.org; the forum will then be available for viewing, on-demand, at duluthnewstribune.com
Tuesday, Oct. 9: U.S. House
