Reader's view: Writer's simplistic, nasty views diminish us all

How low can you go? The writer of the Jan. 23 letter, "Obama and his evil ego move U.S. toward socialism," has shown, over the course of years, he has no original thoughts. He has been regurgitating the same, simplistic, nasty views month after month in the "Readers' Views" section of the News Tribune with the exception of suggesting our president is evil. This was a new irrational view.

It appears that the only way certain members of the right wing can attempt to make a point is by calling names and degrading people with whom they politically disagree. What a sorry state of affairs. I can only hope that simple humanity will prevail and this nasty name-calling will stop.

When you do not have any facts to present, and when you fall back on simply nasty rhetoric, it diminishes us all.
