This is in response to the incredibly bad behavior detailed in an article in the Oct. 20 News Tribune, "Toppling of Utah rock formation spurs death threats."
This isn't about the sacredness of national parks nor about the feelings people have for them. I certainly don't condone death threats. Most disturbing is the unfortunate and contemporary attitude shown by the two Boy Scout leaders, acting as if they were trying for America's Funniest Home Videos or one of the other less-pleasant video-sampling shows. They reflected an utter disregard for public property and were a disgustingly bad example for the young folks in their charge.
