Reader's View: The lesser of two evils is still evil

We're told we have a clear choice in the presidential election -- but millions will have no choice at all due to new voter identification laws. Never mind that a person is more likely to be struck by lightning than commit voter fraud.

Who is the clear choice for voters wanting an anti-war candidate? Who is the clear choice that opposes the depredations of Wall Street sociopaths? And who opposes the corporatists' efforts to privatize and commodify most every aspect of our society? Who will protect civil liberties? Who will address global warming?

We can choose between a Democrat to the right of Richard Nixon and a Republican who seems to be without a conscience or a clue. Unfortunately, the lesser of two evils is still evil, and the choice is far from clear.
