Reader's view: Story on gay pastor displayed paper's opinion

The News Tribune clearly displayed its view of gay rights by placing the story about the church that accepted a gay person onto its pastoral staff above the fold of Sunday's front page ("Building a path to acceptance," Sept. 9).

The News Tribune clearly displayed its view of gay rights by placing the story about the church that accepted a gay person onto its pastoral staff above the fold of Sunday's front page ("Building a path to acceptance," Sept. 9).

Not only was the article about the individual a very long article, it was accompanied by an article about the church.

The placement and length of the articles announced the paper's opinion, which is what the editorial page is for, not the front page.

How much real news was pushed out of the paper by this choice?
