Reader's view: Stakes are high in this election; please vote

I am writing in regard to the coming election. It is hard to understand how Donald Trump could be the presidential candidate for the Republican Party, especially considering that there were so many excellent candidates in the primaries. It is even more difficult to understand why so many people are still supporting him. It is scary.
Also, I would like to address the term “pro-life” as it pertains to abortion. This term is a misnomer. I would hope all people are “pro-life.” After all, life is a precious gift. Those who are opposed to abortion should be called “anti-choice,” as that is what they are. Certainly, abortion is a sad event but should be allowed for those who need to choose it. Therefore, please vote only for candidates who are pro-choice. That way everyone has their view on abortion considered.
Also, Minnesota voters need to notice the constitutional amendment on the ballot. Not voting on this amendment serves as a “no” vote (which does not seem right).
Lastly, please vote. This is an important election.
