I've lived in nine different cities in six different states, and I have never come across a city councilor as engaged and mindful as Joel Sipress. He not only takes the time to respond to my questions and concerns, he goes above and beyond to explain the facts, history, and processes that inform his decision-making.
It is obvious from my interactions with Councilor Sipress that he carefully considers the outcomes that will best serve our community - and not what will score him the most political points or benefit powerful special interests.
I would invite anyone who believes otherwise to attend a City Council meeting and see firsthand how Sipress stands up for the working class, for fiscal responsibility, and for thoughtful actions that move our city toward a brighter, more inclusive future for all Duluthians.
How do I know he cares for everyone in our city? Because I'm not even in his district, and he knows it, yet he responds to my concerns anyway. Every single time.
Joel Sipress deserves another four years on the Duluth City Council. If you're fortunate enough to live in his district, give him your vote on Nov. 7. He's earned it.
