Over the past years on the City Council, Councilor Joel Sipress' work has been exemplary in representing taxpayers' and property owners' interests around the college neighborhoods near the University of Minnesota Duluth and in Kenwood.
He is proactive, helping in many, many ways, including with permit parking signs, working with landlord issues, and reducing the urban blight of front-yard parking. While we need more owner-occupied housing for new graduates as they launch their careers, Sipress has their best interests at heart in addition to preserving our core neighborhoods and protecting them from greedy, overreaching opportunists.
