The health care repeal bill recently passed by the U.S. House is something we all need to understand and take action on. The possibility of taking health care away from 24 million Americans is immoral. Those of us who could lose our health care are being sentenced to pain, illness, and even death. We stand to lose important provisions of the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, that prevent insurance companies from capping our benefits or rejecting us for coverage.
Minnesota's three Republican U.S. House members voted for the bill, ignoring the will of their constituents. They sold us out.
The bill is headed to the U.S. Senate, so everyone should express their opinion on the future of this bill to their senators. Call Minnesota's Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Al Franken to let them know that you want a fair health care system. Tell them to oppose this travesty of a bill, and ask them to do whatever is in their power to convince their colleagues to protect our access to health care.
