During the past few years, Minnesota has grown stronger. Together we’ve created more than 160,000 new jobs, added $150 million to the state budget reserve and paid back every penny owed to our schools. This is great progress, and to keep up the momentum I’m supporting Jen Schultz for state House of Representatives.
Schultz is the best candidate running to replace the retiring Rep. Tom Huntley. She has both the skills and the heart. Raised in a single-parent family and trained as an economist, she understands the needs of working families from firsthand experience while having the training to find real solutions.
Having spent nine years in the Legislature myself, I am confident Schultz has what it takes to be a tenacious advocate for our community and its needs. We can count on Schultz to protect our state aid for roads and schools. And with her background in economics, she understands what’s needed to attract great jobs to Duluth.
I urge all voters in District 7A to support Jen Schultz on Nov. 4.
She’ll keep our momentum going and further strengthen Duluth.
