The Duluth School Board has done it again. The board voted to approve the purchase of a home for the district's new western middle school. The market value was $86,200, according to the Aug. 28 News Tribune. The district paid $250,000 for it.
The district has some $400 million to play with for the Red Plan, so the board seems to be acting like this is no big deal.
The district should keep open Morgan Park school and Central High School. Another school does not need to be built. The only ones making money off these schools seems to be Johnson Controls.
Taxpayers in Duluth will be paying for the Red Plan for the next
20 years.
