In the race for Minnesota Secretary of State between Mark Ritchie and Dan Severson, we have a critical choice. Severson believes Minnesota's electoral system is broken. How does he plan to fix it? He would require voters to show a photo ID to vote and not let them vote if they forgot it, lost it or just didn't have one. He also would eliminate voters' right to register to vote on the day of an election.

Ritchie does not think our system is broken but just needs some fine-tuning. He has worked hard with local and county officials to move the primary election from September to August so people who need to submit absentee ballots have an extra month to do so. Ritchie also has instituted Absentee Ballot Lookup so people who submit an absentee ballot can see if their ballot has been received and counted. Ritchie started the Vote in Honor of a Veteran program to honor those who gave us the right to vote.

Ritchie has been working hard for you in the past and will continue working for you and your right to vote in the future. Mark Ritchie is the right choice for secretary of state.
