I am not sure what the Duluth City Council would be thinking. Who votes for these people? It would be the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of if councilors even consider boycotting Arizona, as the Duluth Human Rights Commission is urging ("Duluth Human Rights Commission wants business ban with Arizona," June 2).
Why should it be any of the council's business what another state does?
And calling illegal immigrants "undocumented workers" is like calling a drug dealer an unlicensed pharmacist. Illegal is illegal! I hope Arizona sends all illegal immigrants to the cities that boycott the state; those states may change their tunes after being the ones paying for the illegal immigrants.
Also, Duluth really doesn't do business with Arizona, from my understanding. Don't these human rights commission people have anything better to do with their time than worry about things that don't affect us?
Nice to know Duluth's only worry is what other states are doing, that the city of Duluth is so perfect and our economy is so flush we can spend all this time worrying about something that doesn't have anything to do with us. If Duluth's city leaders want to worry about what goes on in Arizona they can call up the governor of Arizona and ask that all illegal immigrants be sent to Duluth. Once Duluth has to pay for them, I bet the tune here will be different.
