I read the newspaper daily and see such controversial issues and, like I stated in my last letter to the editor, there is no outlet for comment (Reader's View: "Bring back more online comments," March 20). I know it seems trivial, and I'm so sorry the News Tribune editor found that a mistaken missive passed through. He was rightly offended as was I (Editor Robin Washington Column: "Hate post on Web is teachable moment," Feb. 28).

But with the removal of most online comments so much has been taken from the online newspaper. Editors can let the News Tribune be a paper of the people and can let us readers blog or comment on issues and can let us see what the city and world thinks.

Editors shouldn't choose for us what we can comment on or not. Stand up, Duluth News Tribune, and be a part of us.
