What a wonderful guide the News Tribune published regarding Shakespeare’s First Folio. This event is something the Lake Superior Writers organization has been anticipating for over a year.
In October, the Lake Superior Writers board, with over 200 members in Northeastern Minnesota and northern Wisconsin, is sponsoring two workshops to commemorate Shakespeare. Instructor Cal Benson will teach a four-week class on learning to write sonnets, and instructor Alice Marks will teach a one-afternoon class on writing like Shakespeare. Both events will be held at the Board of Trade Building, where the nonprofit organization has its office. (For more information about the Shakespeare events, go to lakesuperiorwriters.org/events/.)
Duluth is so fortunate to have the opportunity to view the First Folio, and it is fortuitous for the Duluth area that it has such a vibrant writing community led by the Lake Superior Writers organization.
