It's difficult, if not impossible, for the typical American to understand what is going on in our Congress, and especially in the White House of President and Commander-in-Chief Barack Hussein Obama.
On the positive side, there is a majority in the House of Representatives reflecting conservative views and causes. This congressional situation is offset, however, by a Democratic majority in the Senate under the iron-fisted rule of Harry Reid who stifles reform efforts by Republican members along with those of fellow Democrats.
This sorrowful state of affairs is likely to change in coming elections, as recent surveys have shown. But Republicans will have to earn public support for their beliefs by practicing what they proclaim about the suffocating regulations enacted by Obama as he pursued socialism as an American way of life.
Obama's lack of responsible leadership has been on display since he was first elected to head our really exceptional nation, as I have noted in earlier writings.
Having survived the power-crazed bossing of Nancy Pelosi's reign as speaker of the House during Obama's first term in the White House, it is clear most Americans know what's really good for them and what is not.

My hope -- shared, I believe, by most of us living in this great, free nation -- is that those in power in the White House, in the House of Representatives and in the Senate, feel and act in tune with the people.
