Visiting my folks in Moose Lake and camping at beautiful Bear Lake Campground in Barnum on Aug. 12, I read the News Tribune Readers' Views and found the day's offering of letters to the editor interesting. One labeled Obama a killer ("Obama is world's most dangerous killer") and another suggested he's a pretty American ("Proud to be American because of Obama").

As for Obama the killer: The writer was absolutely right. If Obama's health-care plan passes as is, taxpayer-paid abortions will go on for years. Does that bother Obama? Remember, he believes in infanticide, letting a baby die even after being born alive. I hope many people agree with the letter writer, and I pray there are changes in the Obama health-care bill.

As for Obama the pretty American: It sounded like the writer would drink Obama's Kool-Aid in a minute. It also sounded like as long as you and your family look good and have eloquence and a good teleprompter to read from and to make you sound wise, you can pretty much screw up America and it's OK -- because it's done with such class.

As for Obama's place in history: He'll go down as all vain leaders, as an asterisk.

God bless and help America.
