Obama brings hope for economy to heal, war to end
As we experience the first days of the presidency of Barack Obama, the first black man to take the oath of office as president of the United States, I hope the U.S. is turning its economic situation around after the mess President Bush left during eight years in office.
I hope President Obama will make sure the American economy works for the people of the United States. I hope he will restore America's good name around the world. Americans fulfilled the dream of the late Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., on Nov. 4, 2008, when Obama was elected.
Good riddance to President Bush. Although we will remember Sept. 11, we won't forget the war in Iraq he launched on false information. It's a war President Obama will end. We will not forget how Bush turned a budget surplus into a budget deficit. The recession occurred on Bush's watch due to selfish attitudes.
