Since mail service keeps getting worse, I wasn't surprised that the price of postage stamps went up again and that the post office said it was due to fewer people using the postal service.
I knew, with the closing of the Duluth sorting station and mail having to go down to the Twin Cities and then back that it would take longer to mail a letter. But now it takes even longer, it seems. Some mail has taken six postal business days to get to me, and several things I mailed were sent back, marked, "return to sender," "insufficient address," and, "unable to deliver as addressed.' But when I checked it out, I found I had the right address. I also have had bills sent back even though they had the address on the envelope. I am not the only one having these problems. Some letters going out of state never left the state; and when I called the post office, I just got the runaround.
It's no wonder people are using the mail less. I, too, am mailing less than before.
